Topic

3C's: Crime, CyberSecurity, and Cryptocurrency, by Sujay Jaladi

Abstract:

Crime existed for as long as people existed, however, it was much more localized and physical in nature. Then as humans made progress technologically, the introduction of computers and the internet changed the face of crime. Different types of crime and criminals demanded a different protective force giving birth to Cybersecurity. The same technological advancements and people's distrust in centralization resulted in the development of blockchain technology which forms the basis of cryptocurrency. The presentation will discuss examples of incidents involving the 3C's.
